Getting around the Jasná resort

Jasná is divided into two main sectors, which are interconnected by modern gondolas:

Chopok North (Demänovská Valley): The center of the action, featuring the locations of Biela Púť, Lúčky, Záhradky, and Otupné.
Chopok South (Srdiečko and Kosodrevina): An area primarily known for its steeper slopes and freeride terrain.

On the resort map, you will find a total of 41 ski slopes, categorized by difficulty so that everyone can find their ideal run.

Blue slopes for beginners

If you are just starting out with skiing or have children with you, look for the blue markings on the map. The best locations are:

Biela Púť (No. 13): The most popular blue slope, ideal for lessons thanks to its gentle pitch and wide profile.
Lúčky (No. 14): A long, easy trail that is serviced at the bottom by a modern six-seater chairlift.
Brhliská (No. 10): A beautiful blue run in the upper section of Chopok North; a gondola takes you up here, allowing you to enjoy views stretching all the way to the Western and High Tatras.

Red and black slopes for advanced skiers

For experienced skiers looking for speed and technical challenges, look for the following slopes on the map:

Pretekárska (No. 1): The legendary World Cup race track. It offers the perfect pitch for dynamic carving.
Majstrovská (No. 7): A classic red run at Záhradky that will put your technique and leg strength to the test.
Chopok South (No. 33 and 31): Steep black and red slopes for those seeking a true challenge and a rugged mountain character.

Lifts and cable cars in Jasná

The lift system in Jasná is among the most modern in Central Europe. In total, there are 20 lifts and cable cars featuring a massive transport capacity:

6 gondolas (cable cars): Including the unique Funitel, which is designed to operate even in high winds all the way to the peak of Mount Chopok.
8 chairlifts: Most of which are equipped with protective bubbles for your comfort.
7 surface lifts (T-bars/platters): Strategically placed, primarily throughout the children’s areas.

Meeting point: Where to find us?

To ensure you can kick off your ski lesson with the Snowflake Academy ski school without any unnecessary searching, our main meeting point is located right in the heart of the action:

Location on the map: Grand Jet Cableway A3 (near the main ticket office and the boarding station of the B3 cable car).

The largest kids’ fun park, Maxiland, is also located in this exact area—making it ideal if you have a lesson booked for your children and want to stay close to amenities like restaurants and rental shops.

Night skiing in Jasná

Jasná offers a world-class experience on illuminated trails, which are regularly available from 18:00 to 21:00. Night skiing takes place on the Biela Púť (No. 13) and Brhliská (No. 10) slopes, which together combine for 4.3 km of trails freshly groomed for night descents. This fact puts Jasná at the absolute top—these are the longest illuminated ski runs in Central Europe outside the Alps.

Both slopes are freshly groomed by snowcats right before the evening session, guaranteeing perfect “corduroy” snow even under the floodlights. For Snowflake Academy students, this is a fantastic opportunity to try skiing in a more intimate setting without the daytime hustle, which often helps with better focus on proper body stance and turning technique.

On-slope dining and gastronomy

Rotunda (2,024 m): A panoramic restaurant located right at the peak of Mount Chopok, offering spectacular 360-degree views.
Bernardino Burger (Otupné): A great choice for a quick, high-quality lunch right next to the children’s zone.
Happy End (Biela Púť): The largest après-ski club and restaurant, hosting the best parties after the slopes close.
Crystal Bar: A stylish spot for a morning coffee or a drink after your last run at Biela Púť.

Practical tips for Jasná visitors

Lift tickets: A lift ticket (skipass) purchased online via GOPASS is always significantly cheaper than buying it from a ticket machine on-site.
Parking: If you are arriving by car, we highly recommend getting there by 8:30 AM. The largest parking lots are at Lúčky and Biela Púť, but they fill up quickly.
Equipment: If you don’t have your own skis, use our ski rental right within the resort area.
